A Bit About Me

As a child, my bedroom was littered with stuffed animals, photographs of whales hung on the walls, and Animal Planet was my TV-candy where Steve Irwin became an idol. Magazine clippings and post cards featuring wildlife inspired my drawings, and Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey remains one of my favorite films. To say I loved animals is an understatement—from the beginning, I was destined to devote my life to them.

2007 was the year I first began my private pet care journey in earnest—I was 17 years old. While I was unsure of the direction my career would take, I knew the animal care field was where I belonged.

Over the years I've worked with domestic species as an animal caregiver, kennel technician, and doctor assistant in a veterinary hospital; I've worked with wolves and wild canines in a sanctuary setting and with wildlife via rehabilitation; I've managed a kennel and dog day camp; and I've studied under a variety of animal trainers and caregivers.

From my experiences, a dream manifested, and as it took shape Fur the Love of Animals was born.

I've always felt strongly about building bridges between people and animals, fostering communication and understanding, and nourishing the special bonds we are lucky to experience with other creatures, as it is truly beautiful.

I look forward to watching Fur the Love of Animals grow, and even more so, I am grateful to be a part of this community.
