About Fur the Love of Animals
Founded in 2024, Fur the Love of Animals (FTLOA) is a small, woman-run not-for-profit organization in southern Vermont dedicated to providing care to the abandoned, neglected and abused, orphaned, lost, and/or stray animals of Vermont. We aim to also support the pets and their humans of our local community.
We offer a wide range of professional pet care services for cats, dogs, pocket pets, and exotics, which then helps the animals receiving assistance from FTLOA whether as a foster or permanent resident.

As we are in our infancy, at this time we have a very small facility and are limited in the number of animals we can support on-site. We are also forced to be selective in the species we intake—so, until resources allow for an additional building, we will be unable to foster dogs on-site.
Currently, we are tackling a renovation project to create several home-styled spaces catered towards our feline friends. Whisker Away will be our cat sanctuary where FTLOA intends to whisk away the in-need cats of our community to a haven dedicated to supporting the health, comfort, and rehabilitation of each.
